Love God, Love Others, Live Loved
The student ministry at Bear Creek Bible Church is for anyone in 7th to 12th grade. Here, we’re seeking to help students understand what it looks like to be a Christ-follower in their context, as well as prepare them for the next stage of life. A phrase we like to use is “love God, love others, live loved”. It stems from the Great Commandment in Matthew 22 where Jesus tells us that loving God and others sums up what God desires for us, and we also add the “live loved” portion, because it’s important for us to remember, and live in light of, the truth that once we place our faith in Christ as Savior, God’s love for us is unchanging, unconditional, and unbreakable! This love then stirs that desire deep within us to love Him and others in return. We’re not simply interested in knowing facts about God, we want to know Him, root our identity in what He says is true of us, and be a part of what He’s doing in the DFW area and beyond.

what, when and where
Sunday Morning (Daybreak): Youth Room // 9:50am – 10:45am
On Sunday mornings, students in 7th-12th grade get together in the youth room for teaching rooted in the Bible that helps them see how Christianity effects everyday life and what it means to live for God’s glory and Kingdom. This teaching is driven by our 8 core traits and a variety of stand alone topics along with the occasional guest speaker.
Thursday Night (Thursday Night Live/Lifegroups): BCBC // 7:00pm – 8:30pm
Every first Thursday of the month, we gather together as a large group with all of the students in 7th-12th grade for Thursday Night Live. We normally have worship through singing with a short devotion, games, food and drinks in an effort to create an atmosphere where students can come and have fun while being challenged to grow in their faith and invest in relationships with friends.
All of the other Thursday nights of the month, unless stated otherwise, we have our small groups (Lifegroups) in homes. Our Lifegroups are rooted in 1 Thessalonians 2:8 that says, “We loved you so much that we shared with you not only God’s Good News but our own lives, too.” In these groups, not only do we study and apply what Scripture says; we also “do life together” by sharing about our lives, encouraging, rejoicing, and even mourning together when life gets difficult.
